Modern

Modern is a rather design term that generally refers to a space with clean, crisp lines, a simple colour palette and the use of materials such as include metal, glass and steel. Modern design uses a sense of simplicity in every element, including furniture. The modern style can also be known as sleek – and there are not a lot of accessories a modern-styled home.

Contemporary

Modern and contemproray are often used interchangeably. However, the modern style is a more specific interpretation of design that started during the 20th century. Contemporary on the other hand, is more flexible and may represent a sense of style that is less adherent to one particular style, such as having curvy lines and rounded edges.

French Country

Warm, earthy colours are epitome of a French Country design style, as are worn and ornamental wood furnishing. The style has an emphasizing farmhouse inspiration.

French Country design may include natural materials like stone and brick; and soft and warm tones of red, yellow or gold.

Traditional

Traditional design style offers classic details, delicious furnishings, and an surplus array of accessories. It is rooted in African and sometimes European sensibilities with emphasis on art and antiques.

Traditional homes often feature a lot of wood, deeply rich colour palettes, and varied types of textures and curved lines. Furnishings are elaborate with ornate details and fabrics, like lace, silk and other exquisite fabric, which may include a different types of patterns and textures.
